LOCAL TOUR: HALF-DAY
Bahariya Oasis
From the International Hot Spring Hotel, our local driver/guide take you by FWD
through the palm grooves to the old town of al-Qasr and the Tahtaneiya sand
dune. From there you will overlook the old rice fields towards Beshmu
Spring.
Afterwards you will continue to the small salt lake, and from there to
Gabal-Dist and Gabal Magrafa, the 'Pyramid Mountain', where the only dinosaur
bones in Africa have been discovered.
Continue to Bir Ghaba and return to the top of the Black Mountain, where you
can enjoy the panoramic view from the 'English House'.
Recommendation: Combine with an afternoon visit to local antiquities in
time for sunset! |
