SAFARI: 2 NIGHTS / 3 DAYS
Darb Farafra
- DAY 1: Our FWD with driver takes you by asphalt road from Bahariya Oasis to
Farafra.
After 100kms turn off-road and take the English Track.
Cross the Magic Spring
Karaween Sand Dunes. Camp 1.
- DAY 2: Bir Dikka is the start of the Darb Farafra (Farafra caravan
route), which will lead us 180kms off-road through the sand dunes and the
difficult crossing of the Karafish (marble plateau). Camp 2: Sand Dunes.
- DAY 3: Climb the Dakhla Plateau and cross the Gabel Jasmund, named
by Gerhard Rholfs after the then German consul, and descend the steep pass
(nabq) down to al-Qasr. Overnight at Desert Lodge***, Dakhla.
- DAY 4: Visit al-Qasr and Deir al-Hagar Temple. Return by asphalt
road to Bahariya Oasis or to Kharga Oasis / Luxor.

and we operate our sahara safari from the Hot Spring Hotel.
Transfers from and to Cairo and Cairo airport are extra !
